BURJASSOT

Your plans in Burjassot can begin with a stroll through its traditional historic center. Although it has experienced significant growth, it still preserves charming streets. On your route, we recommend stopping at the Parish Church of San Miguel Arcángel and, above all, at Los Silos.

The Silos of Burjassot were underground grain warehouses built in the 16th century. From the outside, they look like an esplanade or courtyard with several hemispherical stones distributed across their surface, which are the lids of the silos themselves. Next to them, you'll find two buildings with arcades and columns, where the wheat was stored before being transferred to the silo or distributed, and the 16th-century Hermitage of San Roque.

Other interesting places to visit in Burjassot on foot include the Municipal Market, built in the 19th century with an original structure, or the San Juan de Ribera Residence Hall, which was once a medieval castle.

On the outskirts of Burjassot, you can admire the chimney of the old fertilizer factory and enjoy the typical vegetable garden landscape. We recommend hiking there!

In these vegetable fields, hydraulic infrastructures of historical value are preserved, such as the Llengua de Burjassot-Alborgí or the Raig. These water dividers divided the flow from one irrigation ditch into two others. You're sure to enjoy finding these elements in the landscape!

Likewise, Burjassot offers cultural routes to explore all these corners, some of which are linked to the brilliant Vicente Blasco Ibáñez and Vicent Andrés Estellés.
